Anna's 7th Birthday and more TN fun

We went to Tennessee in late June to help celebrate Anna's surprise 7th birthday party. What made me laugh so much about this party is that Anna told Kelly that she wanted a Surprise Frozen Pool party. What a kid! lol :) Not quite convinced that's how surprises work, but at least she knows what she wants! lol :)
~
Here are the guests lined up and waiting for the birthday girl to arrive
 Here she comes...
Such a sweet smile from such a sweet girl! :)
McKinley hanging out with Kelly
Everyone always loves to play with Pappy
Looks like the boys might have been ganging up on poor Charlie... :)
While we were in Tennessee we visited the Sligers and were able to meet their new grandson, Martin, for the first time. He is such a sweet baby! Not sure why I didn't start snapping pictures earlier on or how I only managed to get a couple, but at least I got one of McKinley checking out Martin.
The Kellys had us over to enjoy all their wonderful fruit! The kids love to raid their raspberry and blueberry patches. Their farm is always so much fun and such a great place for my wild and crazy kids to run and play! :)
I couldn't believe McKinley snuggled with Aunt Nancy so quickly but it wasn't at all a surprise that she loved the fresh raspberries! :)
I have a lot of these berry pictures, but I just can't help it since they're all so cute! :)

Time to sit and eat them all!!! :)

I thought this was a sweet picture of Reagan and Aunt Nancy having a chat while looking for a rabbit they had spotted.
 Hanging out by the barn,
 in the hammock,
and don't forget the amazing tire swings!!!
Somehow, neither Grand-Dad or I managed to take a single picture at Grammy and Grand-Dad's house, but they were of course a large part of the fun too! Thank you to everyone for always making us feel so special and welcome in Tennessee! :)

Friends - Tennessee Visit - August 2013

During our visit to Tennessee we were also able to catch up with several friends. Our first stop was at the Sliger's to visit Aunt Marta. I got such super cute pictures during our visit! Thank you so much for having us over and all the fun activities!
All four kids enjoying the motorized Thomas trains
A girls game of dominos
Aunt Marta set up two sprinklers for the kids to run through and they had a fabulous time getting soaked! :)

McKinley and Aunt Marta decided they would rather be spectators of all the water fun :)
 Kisses for Aunt Marta
One quick picture before it was time to go - absolutely love this group picture!!! :)
We also visited one of my best friends from high school and college, Holly. We hadn't seen each other in a while so it was really nice to catch up. Miss McKinley especially loved getting some extra attention from Holly! :)
Holly's boyfriend, Darcy, was visiting her from Canada so we enjoyed seeing him again as well.
Thanks for letting us come and visit!
We also visited our BFF's Kelly and Anna and had a slumber party. I had to catch a couple sweet and silly pictures of Reagan and Anna.

They insisted on having this picture taken with the doll they had dressed on Anna's wall.
Thank you everyone for letting us visit and putting up with all our craziness! We enjoyed seeing all of you and look forward to catching up with you again in a couple of months!

Burgess Falls - Tennessee

While we were in Tennessee we visited Burgess Falls State Park. I have so many fond memories of this park growing up. It's been so nice that we have been able to get here a couple of times a year with my munchkins. We generally stay towards the top of the falls but I'm looking forward to the kids being big enough that it makes sense to hike down to the bigger falls too.
~
There is large playground close to the parking lot that never fails to side track us for a minute or two and this time Miss McKinley enjoyed the swings with the big kids.

This picture is funny because our visit started out a bit rough... As you can see all three of the big guys are in the background in time-out for varying reasons. Thankfully the visit did get better after everyone got out of time-out.
 Blast off!
 Headed down to the falls
Time to explore and play in the water!

Grammy and McKinley enjoyed staying dry and watching the rest of us get wet :)
Time to head home and what better way than a piggy back ride from Grand-Dad!?!? :)
Thank you for such a fun day! We look forward to our next visit to Burgess Falls with you! :)
