March Snow :)

As I said in a previous post, we received more than our usual amount of snow during the winter of 2013/2014 and I loved every minute! We received quite the dump of snow the beginning of March and had the opportunity to play in it with some of our best friends and neighbors. The kids had such a fabulous time! :) Here are the four big girls on a pile of snow cleared from our driveway. :)
How precious are these two sweet faces?
It's always helpful to have some extra adults around when you need a good push down the hill! :)

Sweet sisters

Our next door neighbor girls came by to play and share their snowboards too
They are such good sports helping out the kids
Love this cute face
Love this silly "Santa" eating snow right where her sled came to a rest
Such sweet sledding buddies
And these two are truly a pair! They are such good buddies and really know how to give each other the business. They crack me up! lol :)
Yummy snow! :)
Crazy?
or sweet? I'll let you decide which is the real Jackson. :)
Not sure what they are working on here so seriously...
Snow angels...

After snow angels these two little nuts decided to explore the swing set. Jackson had a great time breaking up the snow on the slide. :)

Working together to pick up a snow block.
Icicles!!!
McKinley enjoying her first icicle
The rest of these pictures are simply me having fun with my camera and one of my favorite subjects - my little snow baby was definitely "pretty in pink" in the snow! :)

Thanks to our friends for the super fun day in the snow! :)

Dr. Suess's ABC Book

One of our family's all time favorite books is Dr. Suess's ABC book. I remember enjoying this book as a child and now I enjoy sharing it with our kids. Grand-Dad captured this sweet moment with McKinley and Tim sharing this fun book. I'm happy to announce that I believe we have another little bookworm in our family. :)

As a side note, Grand-Dad submitted one of his pictures of Tim and McKinley reading together to his camera club. I believe it won 2nd place in it's division. The best part was a comment regarding Grandpa reading to his grand-daughter. What's funny is that Tim really isn't that old (only 36) and what was especially entertaining was Tim wasn't the least offended by this comment and found it funnier than any of the rest of us. lol :)

Outdoor Play - January 2014

As well as snow we enjoyed some warmer weather as well. Here's a sweet picture of Reagan giving Jackson a ride in the truck Grandma and Grandpa gave Jackson for his first birthday. This has been a well loved and used little truck! :)
Grand-Dad took all of these pictures of Kennedy on her bicycle. I believe he took most of them because of how silly Missy K was being on her bike. I can't say that I blame him. I mean it's not every day you get to see a 5 year old attempt to ride their bike backwards while lying down...
Missy K loves to pose. This is her favorite pose and while it does crack me up, it also drives me crazy that she won't just take a normal sweet picture... lol :)
 A serious bike rider
I believe Grand-Dad said she had to take a fuel brake each time she went around the cul-de-sac. I think he especially enjoyed her antics in the second picture while filling up her bicycle. What a little nut!
Thanks for being our resident photographer and capturing so many entertaining moments of our munchkins, Grand-Dad! :)

Cousins in the Snow - January 2014

The winter of 2014 was super fun with an above average amount of snow for Kentucky. It makes me realize I should really live further north! :) Heidi and Holden came to play in the snow with us one day they had off school and as you can see a pretty good time was had by all! :)

Trying to walk back up the ice on the driveway
The boys had at least as much fun (if not more) shoveling with these child size snow shovels from Aunt Arla vs sledding.

This is probably my favorite picture of the day - what two cute cousins! :)
The girls trying their hand at snowboarding with our wonderful neighbors

I had to include this one sweet picture of McKinley all dressed up and ready to head outside to enjoy her first snow. This was actually a different day (our first snow was in November), but it was just too sweet not to include somewhere! Poor baby was all tuckered out from getting all dressed out and never actually managed to make it outside to enjoy the snow. lol :)
I also wanted to include this video Grand-Dad took of another fun snow day in January:
Sure hope next winter we get as much wonderful snow to play in as we did this year! :)
