LemonAiD Days

Another activity we participated in with the BHLC during July was LemonAid Days (http://lemonaiddays.org/) . This is a program sponsored through Salvation Army where kids setup lemonade stands to raise money for homeless children. This was such a great service opportunity for our kids because it was something they could actually do (vs observe or be on the sidelines). I am looking forward to my munchkins getting older and expanding our community service component of school. In the meantime our group raised over $800 in support of Salvation Army!

Missy K was a natural at raising money and giving away lemon treats!
Having fun at the LemonAiD Stand :)
Had to throw this picture in of our day. Jackson came with us too and on our way home we stopped at Trader Joe's where he picked up a couple of stickers...
All the kids throughout Lexington who raised money over the summer are invited to come and dump their LemonAiD money into a large Salvation Army cauldron. Reagan was at a gymnastics camp but my other three munchkins and I went to enjoy the festivities.

Thank you Salvation Army and BHLC for organizing this opportunity for kids to participate in and help give back to the community. Looking forward to working a LemonAiD stand again next year!
